Titanium Grade 7 (Ti-0.2Pd) is a corrosion-resistant alloy made up of titanium with about 0.12–0.25% palladium. Its mechanical properties are quite similar to those of Grade 2 titanium, boasting a tensile strength of around 344 MPa and a yield strength of 275 MPa, along with excellent ductility and weldability. The inclusion of palladium significantly boosts its resistance to crevice and reducing acid corrosion, especially in chloride and acidic settings. Titanium Grade 7 forgings are perfect for ensuring long-term reliability in harsh chemical and seawater conditions, maintaining mechanical stability across various temperatures and pressures.

Titanium Grade 7 forgings find extensive use in industries that demand outstanding corrosion resistance, particularly in reducing acid environments. In the chemical processing sector, they are utilized in heat exchangers, reactor vessels, and piping systems that handle aggressive acids like hydrochloric and sulfuric acid. The marine industry benefits from its durability in saltwater, making it ideal for underwater and offshore components. Additionally, it is employed in power generation plants for condenser tubing and other corrosive systems. Thanks to its biocompatibility, it is also a popular choice in medical applications.
