Titanium Grade 1 is essentially commercially pure titanium, containing at least 99.5% Ti, with minimal amounts of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen, and iron. It boasts the highest ductility and impact toughness of all titanium grades. Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 240 to 350 MPa and a yield strength of about 170 MPa, along with excellent elongation and cold-forming capabilities. This grade also offers remarkable corrosion resistance in oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing environments. Therefore, Titanium Grade 1 bars and rods are perfect for applications where easy fabrication, corrosion resistance, and lightweight performance are essential.
